In 2023, the democratic forces of Belarus adopted a strategic objective of joining the European Union as a community with shared values. It will allow Belarus to preserve independence, protect national identity, and prosper economically. It will also close the gap in regional security endangered by the dictatorship of Lukashenka controlled and used by the Kremlin.

To achieve this goal, the Belarusian people need comprehensive support, a clear strategy, and action plans from the international community as well as a systematic approach to the democratic transit. Euro-Atlantic Affairs Agency will work together with foreign and Belarusian stakeholders to develop such policies and implement practical steps. While democratic nations expressed interest in a free Belarus, Russia continues to expand its presence in and increase its control over our nation.

Euro-Atlantic Affairs Agency will work to have the Russian threat recognized leading to a new international strategy and practical steps. Belarus needs to withdraw from the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine to preserve its own independence and help Ukraine defeat aggressors. We will work to strengthen existing and establish new international mechanisms to advance the cause of democratic Belarus.

We need to grow the narrative of the Euro-Atlantic Belarus among Belarusians and international audiences. Jointly with partners, we will work on the roadmaps for integrating Belarus into the Euro-Atlantic community. We will facilitate the establishment of capacity-building programs for Belarusians to enable this progress.
